Mere Moko

Set during the violent 1860s Land Wars, a young Irish woman on the run for murder is caught between the marauding colonial forces and a charismatic Māori chieftainess leading the resistance, ultimately forcing her to choose where she stands in the fight for Aotearoa/New Zealand.

Inspired by true events, Mere Moko is a gritty, action-driven thriller about two unlikely women from either side of the divide, who are forced to confront the true cost of war, identity and survival.
